Argh, we be pirates!

This is a character concept for a series of pirates callled the Axe Crew. They're a group of sky pirates that all carry axes. Each character will have their own signature weapon and they'll all be numbered. The crew currently has a grand total of...three members. Many more characters to come as I create new concepts. Stay tuned.

I've been listening to a bunch of Asian Kung Fu Generation lately. Their a sweet jrock band that I happened to stumble upon. Besides their great music, i'm really diggin the album covers. Each one is fresh and unique but the style all ties them together. Check them out if you get a chance.

You are not who I thought you were.

I sketched the two different faces for this at different times. Later I found them and couldn't decide which one two clean up and color, so I choose both. The line work came out really well on these, i'm pretty excited about that. The streaks and colors in the hair came from a wood texture I was playing with a bit in photoshop.

Micah

Here's a character concept for Micah. He's a character from the webcomic on MurderHollywood.com that I was working on. Pretty straight forward design.

Tattoo

This one is from an idea I redrew for a friend. The concept is exactly the same, I just added my own style to it. Ball point pen on paper, my favorite. I sketched this out with a Pentel RSVP Fine Ballpoint pen....I love those pens, i'm not really sure why but they are very comfortable to draw with.

Newspaper

I'm just chuggin along try to pump out some more stuff. Here's something I'm currently playing with. This character design is still in the works so there'll be some remixes of it soon. For now, just enjoy the newspaper.

always working on something...

I'm working on finishing at least one chapter soon. If you want to know what Graystone is or what it's about, you'll find out soon. Here's two unfinished pages from a chapter that i'm working on. I've finally nailed down the format that i'll be drawing the pages in so it will look more consistent from here on. Page one and two start off a scene where the two main characters arrive at a formal party to meet a man whos signifigance will be explained later.
